Evan’s Utterances

Late November, 2005. Evan and I were spending some quality one on one daddy and Son time. Momma and little brother Zachary were out running errands.
Evan wanted to play a Spiderman board game, so I got it all set up and we sat down to play.
Evan asked for a glass of water, pretty normal thing for a 5 year old to do. As a good Dad, I obliged him and gave him some water.
He sat down to play the game and said…
“Thanks Dad, I need to stay hydrated”….

So… summertime of 2005 it was.
Evan and I were driving through the neighborhood and saw some very young (3-6 year old probably) kids playing outside of their house, very close to the street.
Evan, in his ever observant and authoritative manner exclaimed (and I quote)…
“Those children are Unattended”!!!

Evan is my 5 year old son, and has quite a gift with vocabulary. I have often shared with my colleagues over the past year some of the quotes Evan come’s up with, and the consensus is that the world truly needed an Evan blog… I discussed it with Evan, and he agrees… So here goes… enjoy…
